About Me

Nicki Tucker gained an upper second class honours BSc Equine Sport Science in 2005, she then decided to go into education and worked with children who have emotional and behavioural difficulties before gaining qualified teacher status in 2008.  In Early 2010 Nicki decided she wanted to use her Equine degree and go back to working with animals, she studied Veterinary Physiotherapy with the Canine and Equine  Physiotherapy Training (CEPT)  for two years and in July 2013 achieved Advanced Certificate in Veterinary Physiotherapy (accredited by Middlesex University).

Nicki has a vast experience working with horses and has ridden herself since she was 2 years old.  Nicki has competed in Dressage, Show jumping, one-day events, working hunter and Polo.  She represented Lincoln University in the British University Student association Nationals in 2004.  From 2005 onwards she has competed in affiliated Show jumping on her own horse and more recently has played competitive Polo.  She has also worked on many different yards including; eventing, show jumping, polo and stud.  Although Nicki hasn’t done any previous work with dogs, she has had dogs all her life and been around working dogs.

This year Nicki is studying to become a clinical educator with CEPT and is also taking students from CEPT on placement.  This means from time to time during physiotherapy sessions Nicki will have students with her for work based learning.
