Veterinary Physiotherapy looks at the animal as a whole, whether it is a maintenance check or enhancing the healing process of an injury. During maintenance check issues are identified with musculoskeletal system and treated to increase performance or well-being of the animal. When treating an injury primary issues are treated and secondary (compensatory) issues are also identified and treated. Every treatment plan for every animal is designed specifically for their needs. Treatments used are manual therapy and/or electrotherapies.

Before any treatment whether it is for injury or maintenance check Veterinary Surgeon’s referral is required in line with the Veterinary Surgeons Act, 1966.
